Our Vision
Women of Security (WoSEC) is for women, and those who identify as women,
who have an interest in cyber security.
WoSEC chapters meet in person in cities around the globe to network, vent frustrations, find peers and make new friends. Our activities range from talks and workshops, brunch and other social gatherings. Occasionally we “crash” events by attending in a group so that none of us are ever “the only woman there”. In short, we support each other. WoSEC doesn’t have membership fees; all women are welcome. Even if someone is not involved with WoSEC we are happy to promote their accomplishments on our social media channels and cheer them on; we support all women of security. WoSEC has resulted in women starting businesses together, mentoring relationships, job interviews, internships, people being able to recruit from our community, cheering squads showing up to surprise female speakers, standing up for each other, priceless advice and countless friendships.
We want women to join the information security community and we want them to stay.
Women Supporting Women
WoSEC is about women supporting women (or those who identify as women). We believe that confident and strong women build each other up. We believe in shining a light on one another's accomplishments.
There’s a Place For You Here

WoSEC Code of Conduct
WoSEC is committed to providing a safe environment for our chapter leaders, members and guests. This code of conduct is our first step towards making this happen. However, we also know that there are times that we will not get things right. Help us make things better by letting us know when you see a problem. You can reach out to your Chapter Leader or go to our Contact Us page.

If an issue arises at any point during a WoSEC event, please let us know. We will take your complaint seriously and we will listen. Please help us make WoSEC fun, safe and inclusive by informing us of issues we may have missed.
WoSEC Leaders Supplementary Code
Overview
As Leaders, we must always strive to be the best examples for our Members. This includes showing kindness to others, welcoming new Members, encouraging and perhaps even mentoring others, connecting people with one another and doing our best to make our community the one we've always dreamed of being a part of.
Expected Behaviour
Privacy and Confidentiality and Your Obligations as a Leader
Should a member of the WoSEC community report an incident to you;
Consequences
If a WoSEC Leader does not adhere to this Code potential consequences include: being nicely asked not to do it again, discussions about the issue and guidelines for ensuring nothing like this happens again, imposition of rules (such as "you can't use that sponsor anymore because XYZ"), and, at worst, expulsion from the WoSEC organisation. This is the last resort and it would require a vote by the Board of Directors. Let's not get to that point without talking things out first.
