Women of Security (WoSEC) is a community for all women, including LGBTQ+, non-binary, trans and gender nonconforming individuals who have an interest in cybersecurity.
We encourage women to join the information security community and make long-term careers in the industry.
WoSEC chapters meet both virtually and in person in cities around the globe. Activities range from talks to workshops to brunches and other social gatherings. Occasionally we “crash” events by attending in a group so that none of us are ever “alone” in the group. In short, we support each other.
We don't have membership fees, in fact, WoSEC doesn't charge fees for any of our events.
Women of Security believes in supporting each other. We believe in creating a safe place for individuals to express themselves and to share their unique perspectives and challenges. WoSEC membership has resulted in members starting businesses together, mentoring relationships, job interviews, internships, people being able to recruit from our community, cheering squads showing up to surprise speakers, standing up for each other, priceless advice, and countless friendships.
